About Us

Legacy of Curiosity was born from a deeply personal challenge—and an even bigger dream. As a teacher, artist, and parent, I found myself asking a question that many modern educators and families are still grappling with:

How do we inspire a love of learning in a digital age where curiosity too often gets lost in the noise?

I wanted to create a space where education wasn’t confined to rigid systems or limited opportunities. A place where learning could happen anytime, anywhere—across interests, ages, and abilities. What began as a vision for offering virtual classes slowly evolved into something more ambitious: a fully immersive educational platform that provides a wide variety of opportunities for learners and leaders alike.

From interactive workshops and private tutoring to on-demand video lessons and live virtual classes, Legacy of Curiosity is designed to meet learners where they are—offering flexible, engaging, and meaningful content across a broad range of subjects and interests. Whether a student is diving into the arts, refining academic skills, or simply exploring a new hobby, our platform creates a supportive space where they can thrive on their own terms.

But the goal was never just to teach—it was to build a community.

A community where:

Students explore topics they love, make friends, and grow in confidence

Teachers and educators share expertise with clarity and support, regardless of formal credentials

Hobbyists and creatives turn their passions into meaningful, shareable experiences

Content creators collaborate on a values-driven platform eager to engage families

Parents find peace of mind knowing their children learn in a safe, balanced, and inclusive environment

At Legacy of Curiosity, we don’t tell students what to think—we give them the tools to explore, question, and form their own beliefs in alignment with their family’s values. Our content supports critical thinking, character development, and inclusive exploration—without compromising boundaries important to families of all backgrounds.

We launched first with a selection of engaging virtual clubs for teens, but this is only the beginning. We now have junior clubs for 8-12 year olds, too!

Soon, we’ll expand to offer so much more.

Whether you're a parent seeking meaningful extracurriculars, an educator ready to make an impact, or a lifelong learner looking for community—you belong here.

This is more than a platform.
It’s a movement to reawaken curiosity, foster connection, and leave a legacy of lifelong learning.

I’m Ashley Raranta, founder of Legacy of Curiosity, with over 12 years of experience as an artist, writer, and educator. My passion lies in nurturing creativity and curiosity in young learners by providing supportive and inspiring spaces where they can discover their interests and develop a diverse set of skills.

My artistic journey spans oil painting, acrylics, graphite, and anime-inspired art—each medium offering unique ways to express ideas and emotions. I enjoy guiding students to explore technique and personal style, helping them find their own artistic voice.

In writing, I focus on emotional themes and poetry, crafting stories that invite reflection. With a minor in writing and ongoing work toward publishing, I support students in developing their skills—from character development and world-building to authentic self-expression.

As a lifelong geek, my interests include anime, video games, films, and music. Some favorite games include The Legend of Zelda, Tomb Raider, The Last of Us, Pikmin, and Animal Crossing. I enjoy films ranging from classics like Jurassic Park and Titanic to series like Only Murders in the Building, Criminal Minds, Person of Interest, Alice in Borderland, Attack on Titan, and Fairy Tail. These passions not only enrich my life but also influence my approach to building creative, engaged communities.

Currently, I’m completing a degree in clinical psychology, which has profoundly deepened my understanding of mental health, emotional well-being, and the essential role curiosity plays in fostering resilience and personal growth. As a Seventh-Day Adventist, my faith deeply informs my commitment to nurturing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. I believe creativity and curiosity aren’t just tools for learning—they’re powerful supports for mental wellness. By encouraging young people to explore their interests and express themselves, we help them build confidence, empathy, and a healthy sense of self that can carry them through life’s challenges.

Beyond creativity and learning, I find peace and inspiration at the beach, especially watching dolphins and turtles—two of my favorite animals. I also enjoy baking and cooking, which bring me joy and balance outside of work.

When I’m not creating or teaching, I cherish time with my husband, daughter, and our lively household filled with pets. Curiosity is a lifelong gift, and I’m dedicated to inspiring others to embrace and nurture it throughout their lives.

Chelsea Wells

Hello everyone! I’m Chelsea Wells, a passionate educator with over a decade of experience teaching in homeschool co-ops, Montessori schools, private schools, and college classrooms. As a mother of three who has homeschooled her own children, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how to meet each student where they are—tailoring lessons to their unique strengths, fostering a love of learning, and bringing creativity and enthusiasm to every subject.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in Teaching, both from Covenant College. When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll often find me with my nose in a good book or caring for my flock of chickens. Beyond teaching, I’m also passionate about supporting new families as a postpartum doula, helping moms navigate the joys and challenges of welcoming a new baby.

Currently, I’m excited to lead several clubs through Legacy of Curiosity, where I look forward to sharing my love of literature, thoughtful discussion, performing arts, and entrepreneurship with students.
